As a Full-Stack Web Developer at MediaCross, you will collaborate with our team and support the VP of Technology to primarily provide maintenance and new features on an established web application, as well as new projects. You will work individually, on a team, and with non-technical subject matter experts. To succeed in this role, you will need to be proficient in PHP/Symfony framework, JavaScript/React, and experienced in MySQL or another SQL database.

*This position is in support of a U.S. government contract, requiring our employees in this position to obtain and maintain a favorable investigation with the government. The government investigation process begins after a Conditional Offer has been accepted by the candidate.

Responsibilities

• Work with users of the web application to understand and prioritize needs, as well as identify problems uncovered by user feedback
• Develop solutions to these needs, including developing or validating test routines to ensure that test cases address all supported browser and device types
• Document fixes and features where appropriate
• Clearly and effectively communicate with application users on changes made, and the impact of those changes
• Maintain an understanding of the latest web development practices through education, study, and participation in conferences, workshops, and groups
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Proficiency in PHP/Symfony framework
• Proficiency in JavaScript/React
• Proficiency in Git
• Experience with MySQL or another SQL database
• Experience with Docker and AWS a plus
• Confident knowledge and experience in programming applications
• Demonstrated ability to manage challenging situations
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
• Strong verbal and written communication, including ability to explain technical terms to non-technical team members
• Ability to develop ideas and processes, and clearly express them

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
